PATCH NOTES & HOT FIXES 1.5

Kanata Update • October 19, 2026

This update brings stronger Wild Scrolls, two Kanata utility scrolls, returning boss summon items, safer pet auto-sell, and fixes for the bell chamber and magic damage over time.

Northstar & Moonlit

Two familiar tools now have their own Kanata identity, with new artwork and more useful protection and recovery.

Northstar White Scroll and Moonlit Clean Slate - native artwork, enlarged 2×

Northstar White Scroll gives retry protection when you use Steady, Bold or Wild with White Scroll protection selected:

  • Failure: only Northstar is consumed. Keep your Kanata Scroll and your upgrade slot.
  • Success: only your Kanata Scroll is consumed. Keep Northstar for another attempt.
  • Other compatible scrolls, including Chaos, keep their existing White Scroll behavior. Northstar does not increase your success chance.

Moonlit Clean Slate restores up to two previously failed upgrade slots when it succeeds. If you have only one lost slot, it restores one. Successful upgrades and potential stay intact. Its existing success chances stay the same, and it cannot exceed your equipment's original slots plus legitimate hammer slots.

Scroll Fragment Cost at @ss
Northstar White Scroll 300
Moonlit Clean Slate 20% 150
  • New White and Clean Slate Scrolls now come only from boss drops and the Scroll Fragment exchange. Their QP, regular-monster, global, Gachapon, PQ prize, shop and other non-boss reward sources have been removed.
  • Bosses keep their intended recovery-scroll drops. The main-boss personal pool also gains a separate roll for Moonlit 20%, detailed below.
  • Recovery scrolls you already own still work and can still be traded as before.

Wild Scrolls Hit Harder

Wild's price stays at 225 Scroll Fragments, while its success chance rises from 15% to 30% and its weapon attack bonus rises from +4 to +5 ATT or MATT.

Kanata Scroll Success Fragment Cost Armor Weapon
Steady 70% 100 +2 main stat +1 ATT or MATT
Bold 40% 150 +4 main stat +2 ATT or MATT
Wild 30% 225 +7 main stat +5 ATT or MATT, plus weapon main stat

Wild weapons also gain their matching stat: +3 STR for swords, axes, blunt weapons, spears, polearms and knuckles; +3 INT for wands and staves; +3 LUK for daggers and kataras; +1 DEX for bows, crossbows and guns; or +1 LUK for claws.

The ordinary scroll system still uses these three types. Eligible regular monsters keep the flat 3% Scroll Fragment chance.

Boss Rewards & Returning Summon Items

Papulatus, Targa and Scarlion now return their summoning ETCs to each eligible participant when their final form is defeated.

Final Boss Guaranteed Private Return
Papulatus 1 Piece of Cracked Dimension
Targa 1 Spirit of Fantasy Theme Park
Scarlion 1 Spirit of Fantasy Theme Park
  • Defeating both Malaysia guardians returns two Spirits in total, covering their two separate altars.
  • These are your own drops. You must meet the existing boss-loot participation requirement and remain inside your run.
  • Earlier forms and Steal do not award these returns. A terminal boss pays its key once per run.
  • Existing prequests, level requirements and entry limits still apply.

The main bosses with the existing personal bonus pool also gain one Moonlit Clean Slate 20% at a separate flat 20% chance per eligible fighter. Drop-rate bonuses do not increase this chance, and the six-material guaranteed fallback does not force a Moonlit drop. The existing 3 White Scroll bonus stack keeps its current odds and quantity.

The Unnamed Toll - Entry Fix

Fixed the crash when entering The Unnamed Toll's chamber. Finish the launcher update before returning to Nell.

Safer Pet Auto-sell

Pet auto-sell now skips equipment that has been scrolled, hammered, enhanced or given potential, even when its base item is on your auto-sell list. Ordinary untouched equipment on the list can still be auto-sold normally.

Magic & Soul Harvest

  • Fire/Poison Mage and Blaze Wizard burns keep ticking during repeated attacks. Refreshing an existing burn keeps its next tick on schedule and renews its duration without creating extra burn stacks.
  • Blaze Wizard's Kindling now appears under its own name in your damage report instead of Other, making the existing bonus easier to track.
  • Evan's Magic Booster gains one casting-speed step. The normal fastest-speed cap still applies.
  • Evan's Blaze has 50% more initial reach and chain distance, with 20% more vertical coverage. It still chains through the nearest forward targets and hits up to 6 monsters at level 30.
  • Blaze now deals four damage lines per target. At level 30, that is 4 × 200%, keeping its 800% total damage. Some lower ranks round down by at most two total percentage points.
  • Evan's Illusion prioritizes a valid boss or Chaos Jester already inside its usual range. If neither is available, it selects an ordinary target. It still hits one target.
  • Battle Mage's Soul Harvest can call a Reaper when your accepted Blow attacks damage a boss while its buff is active. At maximum level, the Reaper has 600% damage, lasts up to 30 seconds, and has a 25% chance to appear from regular-monster kills.
  • Successful Reaper hits recover 2% of your maximum MP. Only one Reaper can be active, and its normal attack pace stays the same.

WORK GLOVES AT DON HWANG

After a short server restart, Don Hwang's shop will sell clean Work Gloves for 5,000 mesos. All classes can buy them. They have their normal 5 upgrade slots and no added attack.

Shared Gloves, Your Class

Work Gloves are shared gear, so the character scrolling them determines the stat family. Mage families receive M. ATT from the new glove bonus; other families receive ATT. Applied stats stay fixed, including after trading.

Steady, Bold and Wild Kanata Scrolls

  • Mage families gain M. ATT; other families gain ATT. Job-restricted gear uses its own job family. Shared gear uses the class of the character scrolling it.
  • These are permanent item stats, including after trading the item.
  • The bonuses apply to new successful glove or shoe scroll attempts after the update.
  • The same three ordinary scroll types, success rates and fragment prices apply. Weapon bonuses and Northstar protection stay the same.

HOT FIX
At level 30, Blaze will correctly read its intended 4 × 200% damage, for 800% base total, instead of the incorrect 4 × 45%. Its improved reach and chaining stay the same.

Thanks for the reports and suggestions. Keep them coming, and see you in Kanata.
