PATCH NOTES & HOT FIXES 1.7

Kanata Update - October 24, 2026

New account achievements, three Chaos Challenger circuits, clearer boss and equipment guides, fuller hunting maps, cheaper QP equipment, and scroll crafting by quantity.

This update is now live. Close the game and let the launcher finish updating before reconnecting.

Your Account's Achievements

Use @achievements, @ach or @msr to open the new achievement hub. Journey, Bosses, Monster Book, Questing and Classes each have their own goals, progress and rewards. You can also open the boss guide, equipment guide, card goals and Chaos Ledger from the same menu.

Scroll Fragment rewards for the seven boss achievements - native artwork preview

There are 21 one-time account goals, rewarding Scroll Fragments:

Category Goal Fragments

Journey Reach level 160 123
Journey Reach level 200 165
Monster Book Collect 25 different cards 25

Bosses Defeat Scarlion or Targa 100
Bosses Defeat Krexel 100
Bosses Defeat Emperor Toad 123
Bosses Defeat Pink Bean 220
  • Your highest Kanata character level counts for Journey. Different characters can contribute to the account's other goals.
  • Each different card counts once. Extra copies do not add another distinct card.
  • Questing counts different eligible, non-repeatable quests. Repeating the same quest on another character does not count twice.
  • Classes counts different class lines at level 120. Another character in the same line does not add another class.
  • Boss goals require the final clear and at least 15% of the encounter's HP in damage contribution.
  • Claim each reward once per account in Kanata, on the character that should receive it. Chaos can view Kanata progress and has its own Ledger below.

The seven boss goals award 878 fragments in total. Each remains a one-time account claim; rewards already claimed are not paid again. The old beta gift program is retired; items you already own and your recorded history are kept.

Chaos Challenger Circuits

Three account-wide circuits combine Chaos challenges. Different Chaos characters on your account can contribute, and you can finish the circuits in any order. Each completed circuit adds one Challenger rank, up to rank 3.

Party clears count toward circuit boss progress. Be alive and present for the clear and meet the existing boss contribution requirement. Clean Horntail still requires your own potion-free, deathless run. Previous solo clears still count; the original solo Chaos Ledger achievements keep their separate requirements and rewards.

Circuit Circuit requirements One-time item reward
All-Rounder Unbroken; Zakum clear (solo or party); Acrobat 1 Advanced Equip Enhancement Scroll and 1 Nebulite Box
Boss Circuit Zakum clear; Horntail clear; Masquerade; The Jester's Equal 1 Northstar White Scroll, 1 Moonlit Clean Slate 20%, 1 Advanced Equip Enhancement Scroll and 1 Nebulite Box
Clean Circuit Clean Horntail clear (solo or party); Firewalker; Starless Night 1 Northstar White Scroll, 1 Socket Creator and 1 Fusion Ticket

Your Challenger Bonuses

World Per completed circuit Maximum at rank 3
Kanata +10% STR/DEX/INT/LUK and +2% ATT/MATT +30% STR/DEX/INT/LUK and +6% ATT/MATT
Chaos +5% EXP and mesos +15% EXP and mesos

The bonuses come from earned circuits. Claiming the item reward does not change your rank. Collect each circuit's item bundle once per account from Lune in Kanata.

Chaos's Challenger EXP and meso bonuses add alongside its existing rate bonuses. Challenger does not add an item-drop or NX-drop bonus.

Open @achievements > Chaos Ledger and Challenger bonuses to see your requirements and reward status. @check also shows your rank and the bonuses active in your current world.

A Boss Guide in Your Pocket

Use @boss or @bosses to browse 16 entrance routes, see the requirements, and check your remaining weekly entries and character cooldowns in one menu.

Travel from a town, after leaving your current activity. Only your character moves, and browsing or travelling to an entrance uses no entry. The encounter checks admission when you enter.

QP Equipment Costs Less

All 119 equipment choices in @qp cost 15% less, rounded down to whole Quest Points. This covers Maple equipment, accessories, Superior Gollux and AbsoLab. Ammunition prices stay the same.

Some examples:

Equipment Previous QP New QP

Level 43 Maple equipment 36 30
Level 64 Maple equipment 56 47
Maple Pyrope equipment 88 74

AbsoLab shoulder 192 163
AbsoLab gloves 176 149
AbsoLab shoes or cape 160 136
AbsoLab weapon 640 544

The discount applies to the QP price; existing account purchase limits still apply.

Find Your Next Piece of Gear

Use @gear to browse equipment for your current class. The new guide shows each piece's requirements, base stats, upgrade slots, trade rules, set thresholds and existing ways to obtain it. It also marks pieces in your bag or equipped and links to the existing shop, saved rewards or drop lookup where available.

Monster Book Goals from the Achievement Hub

The hub's new Monster Book pages bring medal targets, your next goal, claim status and missing-card shortcuts together. Browse the goals or open the existing medal-claim and drop-lookup menus from there.

Fuller Hunting Maps

Eligible hunting maps now start with 45 ordinary monsters. With Chaos's Encore active, that starting target is 59. The existing population growth, maximums and map exclusions stay in place.

Cheaper Scrolls, Crafted by Quantity

Steady, Bold and Wild Kanata Scrolls

Scroll Fragment prices are 45% lower, rounded down:

Scroll Previous fragments New fragments
Steady 100 55
Bold 150 82
Wild 225 123
Northstar White Scroll 300 165
Moonlit Clean Slate 20% 150 82

In @ss / @scrollshop, open the Scroll Fragment exchange, choose a scroll, enter a quantity and confirm in the number box. This works for all five scrolls above and Dawnlight. You no longer need to reopen the exchange for every single scroll.

  • The number starts at 1 and accepts 1 through 32,767. You still need the materials and Use inventory space for the whole quantity.
  • The unit price stays the same: 3 Wild Scrolls cost 369 fragments.
  • Materials can come from multiple normal inventory stacks, and results can fill or split across your normal Use inventory stacks.
  • Cancelling, an invalid count, missing materials or insufficient space exchanges nothing. The whole quantity must fit.

Dawnlight Innocence Scroll

Northstar and Moonlit combine into Dawnlight - native artwork preview

Craft 1 Dawnlight Innocence Scroll from 1 Northstar White Scroll plus 1 Moonlit Clean Slate 20%. Quantity crafting uses the same recipe: 3 Dawnlight costs 3 of each ingredient.

Dawnlight resets scrolling and hammer upgrades while keeping your equipment's enhancement stars, potential, sockets, owner name and appearance.

It now works on older equipment too, including items upgraded with Miraculous Chaos Scrolls. Equipment with reliable upgrade history keeps its existing star bonuses exactly. Older equipment without usable history resets to its standard base stats, removing old random stat rolls and Maker bonuses too. Its current stars receive fixed normal bonuses. Using another Dawnlight cannot reroll those star bonuses.

Resetting removes old scrolling bonuses even if those bonuses can no longer be obtained. When a reset reopens upgrade slots, use those slots before adding more stars. Already-clean equipment does not consume a scroll.

Castellan and Emperor Toad

The Ninja Castle jump quest is now optional. You can travel to the boss approach and start a fresh private run, alone or through your party leader.

Requirement Updated encounter
Minimum level 50
Time limit 30 minutes
Castellan HP 1.2 billion
Emperor Toad HP 1.8 billion
Base physical and magic attack 20% higher

Both forms now engage players when the fight begins and after revival. Toad gives full boss EXP and its final clear receives boss credit and charts.

The four elemental staves from the Castellan and Emperor Toad encounter can now drop for any class. Their base drop chances stay the same.

The old one-hour field-boss respawn restriction is removed. Private runs use the normal weekly boss entries and entry cooldown shown in @boss; arriving later does not refill an already timed boss spawn.

After the final form, each qualified player receives:

Personal clear reward Quantity
Nebulite Boxes 2
Advanced Equip Enhancement Scroll 1
Scroll Fragments 100

Contribute at least 15% across both forms and remain alive in your private arena when the fight ends. The bundle is awarded once per final clear, and drop bonuses do not increase it.

Everyday Fixes

Chaos Jester

Each Chaos Jester now guarantees 1 Advanced Equip Enhancement Scroll.

Item Tags

Double-clicking an Item Tag now shows guidance to drag it onto an unnamed equip, and keeps the tag.

Twister Spin

Press Twister Spin's hotkey again while it is active to cancel it. Use a fresh second press; its normal resource costs and cooldown still apply.

Combat Stats and Speed

@check now shows your Challenger rank and the percentage bonuses active in your world, alongside your current combat stats.

The combat page also separates Weapon attack speed and Magic casting speed. Both use the game's 2-10 scale: 2 is fastest, 10 is slowest. Relevant Booster, party, aura, equipment and Frozen effects are included. Individual skills can use their own animation timings, so these are speed grades, not attacks or casts per second.

Achievement, Ledger, boss, equipment and Monster Book menus also have clearer headings, progress, claim states and page numbers, using familiar in-game icons.

Thanks for the reports and ideas. See you in Kanata!
