10 · TOOLS, COLLECTION & ROUTINES
Useful commands, a cleaner inventory and a plan for your next session.
You do not need to memorize every command. Start with F8, @check, @gear, @boss and @achievements, then use the shops and conveniences when you need them.

These are Kanata-world service commands. Chaos keeps the lookup commands and @dispose, with its own service restrictions and utility NPCs described in the Chaos chapter.
Close the current window first when opening a different service. If a dialog is stuck, try @dispose, then speak to the NPC again. It is not a teleport or a way to skip an activity's rules.
F8 · Monster Book

Use the Monster Book to find a monster, its maps and useful drops. Search by the item you want when you do not know which monster supplies it. The drop view shows your personal chances, which is more useful than applying one blanket rate to everything.

Cards also build your account's collection. Visit @mba to claim earned medal tiers at 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 375, 398 and 399 distinct cards. More copies of one monster's card do not replace collecting different monsters for these distinct-card goals.
Monster Book medals can be shared through account storage. Do not buy one expecting it to trade freely between unrelated accounts.
Worth doing: collect cards while you are already leveling in an area. Later, use the book to plan a missing-card trip rather than revisiting every map without a target.
Account achievements

Open @achievements or @msr. Account goals include levels, card counts, quests, different class lines and bosses. Eligible goals award Scroll Fragments, so checking this menu can reveal an upgrade you have already earned.
Examples:
| Goal | Scroll Fragments |
|---|---|
| Reach level 70 / 120 / 160 / 200 | 55 / 82 / 123 / 165 |
| Collect 25 / 100 / 200 / 300 distinct cards | 25 / 55 / 82 / 123 |
| Complete 10 / 50 / 100 eligible quests | 25 / 55 / 82 |
Other goals cover class lines and boss clears. Read the menu for your account's remaining conditions and claim each reward when eligible. Normal account achievements, Monster Book medals and the Chaos Ledger are separate reward tracks.
Free convenience · Auto Buff and Auto Pickup
Auto Buff
@ab is free and saved per character. Choose from your own learned, supported buffs, summons and applicable equipment skills. The system maintains selected skills as they run low or expire.
It still uses the skill's normal MP, HP, items, combo resources and cooldowns. It does not grant another job's buffs. Keep required supplies available, and do not assume every toggle, riding skill or special skill is eligible.
Auto Pickup
@ap is free, saved per character and does not require a pet. It picks up eligible nearby drops as you walk. It respects ownership and is not a map-wide vacuum. Player-discarded items are not its normal pickup target.
Pet Vac is the separate timed account service sold in the VP/DP shops. It requires an active pet and follows its map and ownership restrictions. Buying Pet Vac does not make another player's reserved loot yours.
Item Ignore and Auto Sell both need an Item Ignore Pendant equipped on a summoned pet. It costs 3,000 NX for 90 days. Open Character Info > PET INFO > IGNORED ITEMS; use AUTO SELL to switch modes. Each list holds 50 item IDs per character, shared across that character's pets.
Ignore leaves the item behind. Auto Sell turns eligible listed loot into mesos. Pet/Pet Vac pickups can sell clean listed equipment immediately; listed bundles sell as whole stacks. Carried equipment is checked when the Equip tab is full. Close dialogs for sales to run, and keep valuable gear and saved materials off the list. See the full training setup.
Inventory, storage and bags
Gathering Bags ·
Scroll Satchel
New Kanata characters start with 24 slots in Equip, Use, Setup and Etc; 96 Cash slots. Account storage starts with 48 slots. Inventory and storage expansions are available through their normal services; compare the confirmation price with your immediate need before expanding every tab.
Town storage lets normal-world characters on the same account share supported items. Trading rules still apply: account-shareable is not the same thing as freely tradeable.
Gathering Bags hold supported materials, with sizes of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 slots. Chris's Gathering Bags quests explain the progression. They do not hold every Etc item.
Scroll Satchel holds 50 slots of supported scrolls from your Use inventory. Cash, timed or sealed items are not automatically accepted just because they look like scrolls. Use the bag window to organize it rather than leaving your main Use inventory full.

Before a PQ, boss or long hunt, clear a few ordinary slots as well. Having room in a material bag does not create space for equipment or a reward in another inventory tab.
Pets and fashion
Normal Fashion Tickets offer the normal cosmetic/pet pool; Special Fashion Tickets use a different pool. While unseen rewards remain, duplicate protection prevents a fifth consecutive duplicate from a Normal Fashion Ticket or a third consecutive duplicate from a Special Fashion Ticket. Receiving a new item resets that streak. It does not let you choose the next reward.
Check the actual pet's lifetime and features instead of assuming every pet is permanent. Keep your pet fed, understand its pickup settings, and separate your fashion budget from equipment spending.
Fashion can be a long-term collection goal without being a required step in the training route.
The Chaos Jester during ordinary hunting
After about 10 active minutes in an eligible hunting map, the Chaos Jester can join the session. It is a separate encounter from the Haunted House's Twisted Jester monster.
Watch its attacks: jump the ground wave and move away from the close burst. Do not stay still and assume it behaves like a normal training monster.
Qualifying contributors need 30% of its HP for its 1,000 NX reward. It also drops a guaranteed Advanced Equip Enhancement Scroll; the Nebulite Box has a separate killer reward rule. These are different conditions from the usual 15% boss contribution rule.
If your character cannot handle it safely, move away and regroup. A small reward is not worth repeatedly dying or ending a Chaos run.
Client comfort
Press F10 to open the client options, including HD scaling. Set the window/fullscreen size and filter that look clear on your monitor. A larger window helps only if you can still read the UI and see the fight comfortably.

Keep potions, movement and frequently used attacks on easy keys. After learning a new skill or changing equipment, check your bindings, buff selections and supplies before entering a difficult run.
A practical session checklist
At the start
- Check your next equipment goal with
@gearand any unclaimed account rewards. - Vote if eligible and keep 2x EXP active throughout hunting. Eight hours costs 2.5 VP from a daily 4 VP vote. Buy the time you will use; its clock continues while offline.
- Summon your pet, check Pet Vac is ON, review Item Ignore and Auto Sell, restock and clear inventory space. Save the route with Hyper Teleport Rock.
- Join an active suitable-level party, especially for a large map, and divide the platforms. Choose buffs and set a goal.
- Accept any hunting quest or Bellwether weekly you want to combine with that goal.
Across the week
- Mix useful PQs for QP and personal gear rather than treating hunting as the only progression.
- Schedule bosses your group can clear reliably; check remaining entries before assembling everyone.
- At 200+, accept the Bellwether weeklies before hunting their monsters.
- Work on a missing card, story chapter or Chaos Ledger goal when you want a change of pace.
Vote-day reset: midnight, Dutch time. Weekly reset: Thursday at 00:00, Dutch time. Dutch time follows daylight saving; a fixed UTC conversion will not stay correct all year.
Quick answers
Why did a map stop giving me ordinary drops? Check the level rule. Below monster level 115, being more than 10 levels apart can exclude normal loot and mesos. Cards, quest drops and special encounters use separate rules.
Why did my boss reward not appear? Check contribution, encounter completion, survival requirements and inventory space. For saved personal equipment rewards, open @gear.
Why will @liner not work? The item needs eligible existing potential; it can be hidden, and the service reveals the resulting lines. The service adds a line; it does not create potential on a blank item.
Should I buy more cubes or replace my weapon? Compare the cost of a reliable weapon improvement with another random roll. If several slots are weak, spread sensible upgrades across the character before perfecting one piece.
Can I take my funded Kanata route into Chaos? Chaos has its own economy and life rules. Read that chapter before starting; normal account shops, rentals and trading do not carry over as a shortcut.
Should I grind past every quest? No. Short quests with strong EXP rewards and the custom story checkpoints can save a lot of grinding. Follow the quest stops in the training chapters, accept hunt quests before killing their targets, and use hunting to fill the gaps. You do not have to complete every low-value quest.
Do I need to buy Maple weapons with QP? Usually not. Suitable equipment drops while you level. Save most early QP for lasting gear, and buy an early item only if it fills a real gap.
